Brings back some wonderful memories

Very reminiscent of the Passover sponge cakes my mother (z"l) used to make. I split the loaf and put some jam between the layers but didn't make the homemade buttercream frosting that she would have done. As these were also my birthday cakes for many years, it really means a lot to have that flavor memory. Thank you!
