surprisingly good, some flaws, but far in the lead of others I've tried

surprisingly tasty, not overly sweet like most allergy friendly pop tarts are. we got both the strawberry and cinnamon ones, saw them at Walmart and they were next to each-other and reminded me from when we would get Pop-Tart brand pop tarts, so we just had to get them both. we were quite happy with the purchase, but a few down sides:
- they did have an issue where the frosty tends to be off center, one box had this problem, the other box was fine.
- there was just four tarts in a box Pop-Tart would put eight in, so there's still that safe food being in over sized packaging thing going on here.
- the center seemed to not have much filling, it was rather sad, both kinds had a hollow center with frosty sticking to the sides, not really stuffed.
- there was an awful a lot of excess foil wrapping the tarts, which was odd.
and some ups:
- as mentioned they weren't overly sweet, and even with that lack luster amount of stuff they weren't to dry or powdery as can happen with allergy friendly food.
- they were surprisingly well priced, actually came out as cheaper then Pop-Tart's little boxes when you take the amount of tarts you get and divide by price, even by weight to price they were in the lead. tho they don't come close to Pop-Tart's value boxes, but I'm still impressed the price was that close.
so now I would just like to suggest making bigger boxes with like 12 or 16 tarts in them, and increasing the amount of stuffing they have, if that happened I would quite happily buy more of these

Excellent

The new recipe is excellent. I wouldn’t change a thing. Love that I can eat toaster pastries without missing the gluten.

Missing Frosting

Very tasty, but one of them was missing 1/2 of the frosting. According to reviews other people had issues with missing frosting as well. Customer service promptly reimbursed me and said they are working on fixing the issue. Also, they are significantly smaller than traditional toaster pastries… why do gluten free food manufacturers feel everything must be smaller than the gluten versions? But, to reiterate they are very tasty and I look forward to buying them again with the proper amount of frosting in the future.

Gluten Free Pop Tarts are yummy

The throwback Pop Tart from childhood is revered and etched into gustatory memory. We had to give them up once we adopted a gluten free diet. Katz Gluten free cinnamon toaster pastry, in it's gluten free state, harkens back to the days of afterschool snack. Always looking for a way to have a bakery item or treat that is gluten free and this hits the spot! The whole family gives thumbs up on this one! We actually prefer them non toasted! Congrats Katz!
