Gluten-Free Apple Cider Donut Cake Pops

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Crumble the Donuts: Break the donuts into small pieces in a large bowl. Use your hands or a food processor to make fine crumbs.
  2. Mix with Frosting: Add the frosting to the crumbled donuts and mix until well combined. The mixture should be moist but not overly sticky. Adjust the amount of frosting as needed.
  3. Form the Balls: Take small amounts of the mixture and roll them into balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the donut balls for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Prepare Coating: Melt the candy melts or chocolate according to package instructions. You can do this in the microwave in short intervals, stirring in between.
  6. Insert Sticks: Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into a donut ball. This helps secure the stick.
  7. Coat the Pops: Dip each donut ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. You can use a spoon to help coat it evenly.
  8. Add Sprinkles: While the coating is still wet, sprinkle with your choice of toppings if desired.
  9. Let Set: Place the coated cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or a cup to set completely.
  10. Serve: Once the coating is firm, your donut cake pops are ready to enjoy!
